Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

PetMate - Feeding, Weight & Photo Log (the “App”) is developed and operated by 厦门尚圈美学投资管理有限公司 (Xiamen Shangquan Aesthetic Investment Management Co., Ltd.) It helps pet owners record food, water, weight and everyday care. This policy explains how the App processes your information.

2. Information we process

When you use relevant features, we process pet profiles, food and care records, text, photos, product barcodes and voice feedback that you submit. Sign in with Apple provides an account identifier and, when you authorize it, your name and email address. Subscription features process purchase history and transaction records. Accounts, synchronization and security also require necessary account or device identifiers.

Photos are processed only when you start photo recognition, sticker creation or feedback; barcodes only when you use barcode recognition; voice only when you use voice feedback. Do not upload identity documents, bank cards, another person's private information or unrelated sensitive content.

3. Third-party services and purposes

After you complete onboarding and continue using the App, Firebase Analytics processes an app-instance identifier, an internal account identifier, device and app information, launches, activity, page views, and feature-use events for real-time activity, usage analysis, and product improvement. The App uses the SDK product without advertising-identifier support and does not collect IDFA. You can turn usage analytics off in Settings → Privacy & Data Export. Umeng+ U-App is enabled only while usage analytics remains on and you also allow app tracking in Apple's system prompt. When enabled, Umeng processes device identifiers, app version, network state, launches, and feature-use events to analyze usage, measure feature effectiveness, and improve PetMate; this may involve identifying the device across apps or websites. The Umeng SDK privacy manifest also declares advertising data and tracking. The App does not display third-party advertising, and ASA/SKAN attribution is disabled. You can turn analytics off at any time in Settings → Privacy & Data Export or in system privacy settings. Crash and error monitoring is also controlled by the in-app consent setting. Tencent Cloud provides cloud data and APIs. Requests go to Volcano Engine Ark/Doubao only when you start AI Q&A or recognition; barcodes go to APIZero only when you use barcode recognition; after you confirm AI sticker creation, photos are relayed to Alibaba Cloud Model Studio Wan. The Release build provides Sign in with Apple and, when the server enables the capability and you choose it, WeChat sign-in. In-app support conversations are processed by Alibaba Cloud Mobile Feedback, which may process text, images or voice submitted by the user, an anonymous device identifier, and necessary device and network information. The fallback feedback form is submitted to Tencent Cloud; signed-out sessions can submit text only, while screenshots require sign-in. We do not sell personal information. Cross-app or cross-site tracking is limited to the disclosed and authorized Umeng analytics path described above.

To keep the service reliable, Sentry crash and error monitoring collects crash stacks, device model and OS version. You can sign in with Apple or, when the server enables the capability and you choose it, with WeChat. The table below summarizes the third-party SDKs and services integrated in the Release build:

4. Your rights

Request an export under Settings → Privacy & Data Export, or submit deletion under Settings → Delete Account. Deletion covers pet, food, care and AI records linked to the account, except information that law requires us to retain.

AI stickers and Alibaba Cloud Model Studio

Only after you confirm AI sticker creation is the pet photo relayed through the App and Tencent Cloud Function memory to Alibaba Cloud Model Studio for processing by Wan 2.7. It is not written to the PetCare database, object storage, or request logs. We retain only account, job, model-attempt, allowance status, and task metadata for up to 24 hours. Alibaba Cloud result links remain available for no more than 24 hours; the App then performs cropping, cutout, outlining, text, and saving on device.

Apple Watch synchronization

When you use Watch Companion, pet profiles, care records, and selected stickers are synchronized only to your own Apple Watch through Apple's system connection; this feature adds no cloud storage. Watch feature events are relayed through the paired iPhone to Firebase Analytics after your analytics consent; they are also sent to Umeng only if you authorize Apple ATT.

UGC campaign page visit statistics

When you open a UGC campaign page, we use a random browser identifier that is valid only for that day to count deduplicated visitors and page opens. Requests contain only a random event ID, random visitor ID, and page language. The server stores only a one-way hash and does not link it to an App account or retain IP addresses, user agents, referrers, or device fingerprints. Statistics are retained for 90 days. You can stop future counting on the campaign page; we also do not report when Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control is enabled. Turning it off does not affect participation.
